There is another appointment to view my house tomorrow morning. This is a different person than the last one. It’s a different realtor who’s coming by and she said I don’t have to leave, just put the pets outside.
Woo hooooo! :>>

Here are my thoughts on this Thursday Morning:
Well I was late to get to work because I cleaned extra good and put all the dog stuff away because this person who wanted to see the house is apparently terrified of dogs.
I left work at 11:30 to get home and get the house open and lock up the cat in a cage.
The agent was late and she said he called at the last minute to cancel because he was called into work. ARGH!
I’ll keep my fingers crossed that this guy is the next owner of my home and he wasn’t just giving an excuse to cancel the visit.
Maybe tomorrow….
I don’t have a Dr, so I went to the walk in clinic at the hospital after work to get this allergy checked out. Only took about 1.5 hours. Probably the shortest wait I’ve ever had there. I was going to wait until my day off but I called in for their operating hours and she said they were running really smooth today so I jumped on the chance to have a short wait.
I got to share a waiting room with two corrections officers and a young punk in an orange jump suit with hand cuffs and an ankle chain. He had a busted up hand – looked like he punched something hard and was waiting for xrays. I was hoping he’d make a run for it or something to pass the time quicker, but he was a good boy.
Anyway, I saw a Dr for a couple of minutes. He said an allergy to acetaminophen is rare, but not unheard of. He said I was still looking splotchy and red and that it could take 4 days to get out of my system so I might want to take benadryl again. I still have a red red face and I’m kinda itchy still. Especially in the tops of my ears right now. My hives are mostly gone though.
He said that Tylenol (acetaminophen) is in a class all of its own so I only have to look for the word acetaminophen in the ingredients. However, he said it is in most products so be careful. He said taking benadryl was the best thing to do. He said there wasn’t much he could do except mark it in my file.
It must be rare since up at the emerg triage where they first assessed me, they didn’t even have it in the list of allergies so they have to edit their new computer program for me
)
So now I think it’s time to try out chocolate. Yummy yummy! Okay.. maybe I’ll wait for Jeff to come home so I have a ride to the ER in case my hunch is wrong, but when I looked at that box of Neo Citran – it has 1000 mg of acetaminophen per package!
Someone is interested in my house and is coming tomorrow at noon. They are apparently terrified of dogs so I have to go home and “hide” them
Maybe I’ll hide the cat too – he’s scarier!
Okay I’ve been reading my past saved emails. That time I thought I had an allergic reaction to chocolate – I was feeling unwell and a little weasy AND THEN I TOOK A NEO CITRAN! Then I had hives.
NEO CITRAN CONTAINS ACETAMINOPHEN!
Holy smokes maybe I’m not allergic to chocolate at all.
Yes. I have hives. All over my scalp, my forehead, down the side of my face, my neck, armpit, a couple on my upper arm, couple on my chest, more on my back.
Remember last November I took Tylenol and I had an itchy reaction? But since being allergic to Tylenol is so rare I figured it was because it was old, expired, and half crushed? (I was in pain, I didn’t care). That time I woke up with the most extreme itchiness and I took two benadryls to tone it down.
Well today I felt crappy from allergies. I started last night. I had a sore throat and runny nose and by today I was sneezing and sinus pain in my face and neck. So I stopped at the drug store for relief.
I bought Sinutab. I realized it had acetaminophen in it, but didn’t think I was really allergic. I took 2 after work.
30 minutes later I had my baseball cap off and I’m scratching my head like I have lice. I felt little pin pricks all over my head. Odd I think to myself but I’m sure it’s not a reaction. Within 10 minutes I had itchy mosquito bite like bumps all over (hives). Once I could see them all over my face, I took 2 Benadryls and had a shower to stop scratching.
Then I’m wondering if I can even take Benadryl with Sinutab and should I go to the hospital with all these hives or what. Jeff isn’t in town. I’m all alone. Mom is gone on vacation. Her cell is off. Julie wasn’t home. So I called my allergic Aunt Cecilia to calm my fears.
So now I have 2 Sinutabs and 2 Benadryls in my system. I give myself about 20 more minutes before I’m in a deep sleep until tomorrow! One Benadryl alone can knock me out.
Sigh….
I am going to take Aunt Cecilia’s advice and see a Dr. this week so I know what else is in the Tylenol family that I should avoid. Being allergic to Acetaminophen must be rare because there isn’t much coming up on Google. Just like my possible chocolate allergy. I still think I don’t want to test that one. I haven’t had chocolate since Feb ’05.
Damn I’m still itchy.
K, nap time.

Update: It’s 3:01am. I feel asleep at 7:30pm last night. I just woke up to hear Monty puking up some chunks of bone or rawhide or something. Wow I was having some bad dreams. I still feel drugged from the Benadryl so back to sleep I go.
Mantracker is planning season two and they will be shooting more episodes around here in Sault Ste. Marie!

I suppose I’m feeling a little jealous that Jeff is off fishing for a week so I just booked this coming Thursday and Friday off. Two days for me to do whatever I want. I can’t wait!
Friday September 15th will mark one year’s passing since Winger died. In a way it marks the day Surf died too. Although she was with me for almost two months longer, she was never the same after the day Winger didn’t return home. I’m not sure how I’ll mark the day. Probably with tears and a trip out to the retriever club property. I can’t believe I haven’t seen that beautiful boy for a year. I still miss him terribly.
So I hope Jeff is having a good trip, relaxing, and catching a lot of fish. While I’m stuck going to work. As hard as it is to be at work now with him on vacation, after we move, I’ll be working from home for a couple months. Ha ha, that’ll make us even.
Now.. let this be the week someone buys my house! I imagine someone has to actually VIEW it first, so come on, let’s get this show on the road. I don’t want to move in the winter again. Twice was enough for one lifetime.
WOOOOOOOOOO WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FREEDOM! That Jeff guy who is always hanging around just left on a fishing trip with his brother up in Julie’s old neighbourhood of Northwestern Quebec and he won’t be back for EIGHT days and he has no cell service or way of contacting me when he’s there! Not even email!:>>
Oh crap, you saw right through my fake joy didn’t you. I’ll miss him. :’( Hopefully I’ll take advantage of all the free time and get some real work done and make a wad of extra cash before he comes back. Even better would be if I sold my house before he gets back!
