The Spring Thaw

Had a nice drive up the TransCanada highway a bit from Sault Ste. Marie. Brought my Kodak EasyShare Z740 to capture some of the spring thaw!

Above you see some shots looking out from the Lake Superior shoreline were some people are still fishing on the ice. Below are some shots of the spring forest.

Below are photos of the rivers thawing.

  1. in stream.jpg, what is that structure in the middle of the river? it clearly looks man made. i first thought it was a sunk ice fishing hut, heh, but likely it has some purpose to be in the river. anyone know?
